5am ‘sight seeing’ run

New York is at it’s best leading up to the holidays.

i am born and raised here and i still get so pumped for the holiday windows, and the decorations- giddy beyond what is cool.

this morning at the dark hour of 5am i met two friends for a run across the bridge and into manhattan, ending at the tree at Rockefeller Center

i could hear how cold it was from the comfort of my bed. luckily i’d laid everything out last night- so just after 5, pretending it wasn’t dark, and that i wasn’t sore, and by the time we were crossing the bridge into manhattan i was so damn happy.

tomorrow morning is the Ted Corbitt 15k. it’ll be my last official race of 2016. a great year of running.
